List It Global is free to use and open to anyone in 238 countries. That only works if people can trust who they are dealing with. These guidelines explain what we expect, what is not allowed, and what happens when someone breaks the rules. They sit alongside our Terms and Conditions, which are the binding agreement.
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. There is no warning system for serious breaches.
Objectionable content is anything obscene, pornographic, violent, hateful, harassing, discriminatory, defamatory or deceptive, and anything that exploits or endangers a child.
Abusive behaviour is harassment, threats, intimidation, hate speech, impersonation, stalking and unwanted sexual contact.
Section 6 of the Terms carries the complete list.
Every advertisement has a Report option on the listing itself, in the app and on the website. Tell us which rule you think it breaks. Reports are confidential and the person you report is not told who reported them.
You can block any user from their profile or from inside a conversation. A blocked person cannot message you again, and their messages never reach you. Everyone you have blocked appears under Blocked users in your account settings, where you can unblock them at any time.
Blocking is yours to use. You do not need a reason and you do not need our permission.
We review reports of objectionable content and abusive behaviour and aim to act within 24 hours. Where a report is upheld we remove the content, and depending on what happened we may suspend or permanently close the account responsible, without notice and without refunding any paid promotion. Accounts closed for these reasons may not register again.
Every advertisement is also checked by our moderation team before it goes live, so most rule-breaking content never appears at all.
We are a place where buyers and sellers meet. We are not party to your transaction and we do not handle payments. Meet in a public place, inspect an item before you pay for it, and use traceable payment methods. Never send money in advance to someone you have not met or verified.
If something needs a human, use our contact page. If you are reporting something urgent involving a risk to a person, say so and we will prioritise it.
